Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsSerine residues 235, 236, 240, 244 and 247 in exon 5 were replaced with alanines. A loxP-flanked neo was inserted into intron 5. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated expression of the mutant allele. Western blot failed to detect any phosphorylation of these sites in livers of untreated or partially hepatectomized mutant mice. Furthermore, metabolic labelling of mouse embryo fibroblasts indicates that no compensatory phosphorylation occurs on any other phosphorylatable residues. (J:100952)
