origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:107617
Parent Cell Line:  AB2.2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S7/SvEvBrd-Hprt1b-m2
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA 0.88 kb fragment spanning the start codon and the remainder of exon 3 was replaced by a 1.7 kb PGKneo cassette. A 4.5 kb EcoRI-ApaI genomic fragment was used as the left arm for homologous recombination and was cloned into the pPGKneo vector upstream of the PGKneo cassette. Northern blot analysis and QPCR confirmed the absence of transcription. (J:107617)
