Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Dapk1tm1Yuk
Name: death associated protein kinase 1; targeted mutation 1, Kazunori Yukawa
MGI ID: MGI:3052030
Synonyms: DAPK
Gene: Dapk1  Location: Chr13:60749761-60911005 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 32.53 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:92102
Parent Cell Line:  E14.1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsInsertion of a neomycin resistance gene deleted part of the exon encoding amino acids 22-95 in the catalytic kinase domain. The replaced region encodes a conserved lysine residue that is critical for the kinase activity of the gene. Western blot analysis demonstrated the existence of the mutant protein with a slightly smaller size that wild-type. RT-PCR analysis of kidneys identified the alternative transcript. (J:92102)
