Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Anxa5tm1Epo
Name: annexin A5; targeted mutation 1, Ernst Poeschl
MGI ID: MGI:2655676
Synonyms: Anxa5lacZ
Gene: Anxa5  Location: Chr3:36448923-36475887 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr3, 17.46 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:82739
Parent Cell Line:  E14.1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsHomologous recombination of targeting construct containing lacZ and neo replaced sequence encompassing a portion of exon 3, all of exon 4, and the murine endogenous retrovirus (MuERV) within intron 4 of the 129 genetic background. The lacZ sequence was fused in frame with the second start codon of exon 3, which is common to all known isoforms. While no full length transcripts were identified in homozygous mutant mice, aberrantly spliced truncated transcripts were detected, though no protein was detected by Western blot or immunohistochemical analysis.
