Name: src-like adaptor; targeted mutation 1, Arthur Weiss
MGI ID: MGI:2387691
Synonyms: SLAP-
Gene: Sla  Location: Chr15:66780819-66831829 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr15, 29.3 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:71804
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of part of the promoter region and sequences encoding the first 21 amino acids with a neomycin resistance cassette. Northern blot using a probe to the C-terminal region of the gene and RT-PCR analysis of homozygous animals confirmed inactivation of the gene. Sequence analysis of a weak RT-PCR product revealed an alternatively spliced truncated transcript. (J:71804)
