Symbol: Cd37tm1Hor
Name: CD37 antigen; targeted mutation 1, Ivan Horak
MGI ID: MGI:2386160
Synonyms: CD37-
Gene: Cd37  Location: Chr7:45233632-45239115 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr7, 29.2 cM
Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:63315
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsPart of exon 3 and all of exon 4 were replaced with a PGK-neo cassette in the reverse orientation via homologous recombination. The gene targeting event results in deletion of part of the second transmembrane domain and the entire third transmembrane domain. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was verified by Northern blot analysis of spleen mRNA using a Cd37 cDNA probe. (J:63315)
