Transgenic Allele Detail
Symbol: Speer6-ps1Tg(Alb-cre)21Mgn
Name: spermatogenesis associated glutamate (E)-rich protein 6, pseudogene 1; transgene insertion 21, Mark A Magnuson
MGI ID: MGI:2176228
Synonyms: Albcre, Alb-cre, AlbCre, Alb-Cre, Albcre2, albumin-cre, crAlb, CreALB, Tg(Alb-cre)21Mg
Gene: Speer6-ps1  Location: Chr13:3149475-3189678 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 1.78 cM
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6 x DBA)F2
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsThe transgene contains a 2.34 kb mouse albumin enhancer/promoter (M. Magnuson verified mouse promoter, personal communication), a nuclear localization sequence-modified Cre recombinase gene and a 2.1 kb fragment from the human growth hormone gene. The promoter is active in hepatocyte cells of the liver. 7 copies of the transgene are estimated to be present. Line 21 inserted into the gene at 3172116-3172120 (Build GRCm38/mm10) resulting in a 4 bp deletion. Founder line x has a copy number of approximately 10. (J:51826)
