Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:29958
Parent Cell Line:  D3 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA lacZ-neomycin resistance cassette was inserted in-frame into exon 3b and placed lacZ under control of the endogenous promoter. RT-PCR studies of homozygous E10.5 embryos showed that trancripts lacking the sequences encoding the functional domains were produced from this allele. (J:29958)

Notes
A posterior shift in the anterior boundaries of expression of Hoxa7 and Hoxc9 occurs in Mlltm1Sjk heterozygotes, while expression of these genes is completely abolished in homozygous nulls (J:29958).
