Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:34326
Parent Cell Line:  D3 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S2/SvPas
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsExon 2 was disrupted by the insertion of a lacZ gene and neomycin selection cassette. Western blot analysis on hippocampal lysates from homozygous mice demonstrated that no stable Bcl2 protein was made from this allele. A beta-galactosidase protein was produced from this allele under the control of the endogenous promoter. (J:34326, J:86581)
