Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA beta-gal reporter gene was fused in frame with the endogenous ATG and a loxP-flanked neo cassette. The first and second coding exons of the locus, encoding the BH3 region, were removed. Crossing with mice expressing cre in the germline removed the floxed neo cassette. mRNA was absent in mutant liver, lung, heart, and kidney. (J:104487)
