Mutation details: A targeting vector was constructed to replace a 35 bp segment in exon 8, which encodes two thirds of the transmembrane domain, with a neomycin resistance gene. Northern blot of paritoneal macrophages indicated that mutants expressed a truncated transcript lacking the transmembrane domain.
