The nonsense mutation precludes the translation of the cytoplasmic tail (beyond codon 264). This allele is expected to encode a protein similar to Efnb2tm1.1Henk, but lacking beta-gal. Similarly, this mutation is expected to ablate reverse signaling while leaving forward signaling intact. (J:87497)
