Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:39748
Parent Cell Line:  TL1/TL-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin selection cassette replaced 200 nucleotides in exon 3 of Cd1d1, while leaving the adjacent Cd1d2 locus intact. Thymocytes derived from homozygous mutant mice were shown to lack protein surface expression. This finding was confirmed by the inability of a specific hybridoma to recognize thymocytes from homozygous mutant mice. (J:39748)
