Mutation details: H11-pHsp68-Nfatc1-CreERT2 allele was generated by knocking the Hsp68 minimal promoter-Kozak-CreERT2-WPRE-BGH pA-Mouse Nfatc1 enhancer cassette into the mouse H11 safe harbor locus via genome editing. Without tamoxifen treatment, CreERT2 recombinase primarily resides in the cytoplasm; nuclear translocation and recombination activity of CreERT2 only occur upon tamoxifen stimulation. When crossed with allele containing loxP sites, offspring are expected to undergo Cre-mediated recombination between loxP sites in Nfatc1-positive cells following tamoxifen administration.
