(a) In the neocortex, the mutated Dio3 mRNA species reveals similar levels of expression in heterozygous mice, irrespective of the parental origin of the mutated allele.
(b) In thalamus/hippocampus/striatum, the pattern of allelic expression in Dio3 m-/p+ and Dio3 m+/p- mice still shows significant preferential expression from the paternally inherited allele.
