Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA LoxP site was inserted into intron 16 and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette and a second loxP site into intron 17. The neo cassette was removed through flp-mediated recombination and exon 17 was deleted through cre-mediated recombination. Immunoblot analysis and immunostaining of hippocampal cryosections confirmed absence of protein expression from this allele. (J:238503)
