origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:157159
Parent Cell Line:  AB2.2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S7/SvEvBrd-Hprt1b-m2
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsTwo loxP sites were inserted flanking exon 3. Preceding the floxed exon 3, a reporter/selection cassette (SA-mCFP-Neo) flanked by two Frt sites, containing a splice acceptor, a membrane-targeted cyan fluorescent protein reporter gene and a neo cassette, was inserted. The targeted allele was bred to an FLP deleter mouse to excise the SA-mCFP-Neo cassette, resulting in a floxed exon 3. (J:157159)
