Assay type: RNA in situ
MGI Accession ID: MGI:3578325
Gene symbol: Efnb3
Gene name: ephrin B3
Probe: Elk-L3 cDNA2
Probe preparation: Antisense labelled with digoxigenin RNA
Visualized with: Alkaline phosphatase
Results
Specimen 1G: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Note: This is a frontal section from the anterior chiasm.
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: optic chiasma Present Regionally restricted 1G Although there is no expression in this section, there is abundant expression in the chiasm region dorsal and posterior to where retinal ganglion cell axons pass.
TS22: diencephalon Present Regionally restricted 1G Expression is widely present throughout the diencephalon, both dorsal and caudal to the chiasm. It is absent in the region surrounding the third ventricle.

Specimen 1H: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Note: This is a frontal section from the midchiasm.
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: optic chiasma Present Regionally restricted 1H Although there is no expression in this section, there is abundant expression in the chiasm region dorsal and posterior to where retinal ganglion cell axons pass.
TS22: diencephalon Present 1H

Specimen 1I: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Note: This is a frontal section from the posterior chiasm.
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: optic chiasma Strong Regionally restricted 1I There is abundant expression in the chiasm region dorsal and posterior to where retinal ganglion cell axons pass.
TS22: diencephalon Present 1I
