Molecular description:

A cDNA sequence encoding a mutant destabilizing form (DD) of bacterial dihydrofolate reductase (ecDHFR; folA) attached to cre recombinase cDNA was inserted into the Fos gene locus at the translation start site. Funder mice were crossed to a germline-active flpe expressing transgenic line to remove the PGK-neo cassette.
