Molecular description: The transgene construct consisting of a 3.8 kb NcoI restriction fragment sequence containing class I olfactory receptor olfactory sensory neuron (OSN) enhancer Rr323 (J element), the Or55b4 promoter sequence (~870 bp upstream of TSS plus ~40 bp of 5' UTR) driving the expression of the cre recombinase and sequence from the 5' end of the mouse Gap43 gene coding for the palmitoylation signal in-frame with the Venus fluorescent protein gene coding sequence separated by IRES.
