Molecular description: The protein-coding region of the mouse Gja10 gene was replaced with a FRT flanked neo cassette and an in-frame, icre recombinase gene. Subsequent flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and brought the cre recombinase under the control of the endogenous gene promoter.
