Tg(Slc32a1-cre)65Kzy - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Slc32a1-cre)65Kzy
transgene insertion 65, Kazuhiro Yamakawa
Driver: Slc32a1
Type: Transgenic (Recombinase)
Synonym: Tg65, VGAT-Cre, Viaat-Cre
Molecular description: Red/ET recombination was used to insert the sequences encoding cre recombinase, the SV40 poly(A) signal, and a kanamycin resistance gene at the ATG (translational initiation site) of the Slc32a1 (Vgat or Viaat) locus contained in RP23-392-P11 BAC clone derived from C57BL/6 mouse genomic DNA. The purified construct was injected into pronuclei of C57BL/6 oocytes. Transgenic line 65 was used in further analyses.
