Prt4 and Prt5 loci control electrophoretic mobility of two esteroproteases inducible by testosterone in submandibular glands. Prt4 alleles are: a allele in DBA/2, M.m. molossinus and M.m. castaneus; b allele in C57BL/10, A/J, NMRI/F and SK/Cam. Heterozygotes have all parental bands.
