Raf and raf/myc retroviruses induce neoplasms in BALB/c and C57BL/6 newborns, but resistance to raf-induced leukemia develops as mice mature. This QTL controls resistance to raf/myc lymphomas that also develop with age. C57BL/6 has the dominant resistantallele; BALB/c the susceptibility allele.
