This arylesterase (EC 3.1.1.2) differs significantly from other mouse esterases. No electrophoretically detected polymorphism is known. The esterase occurs in many organs, but not in red cells or plasma. Protein is detectable with alpha-naphthyl acetate after inhibition of the comigrating ES7.
