This locus controls antigen expressed highly on erythrocytes and less on lymph node, lung and kidney. The a allele determines antigen Ea4.1 in most strains; the b allele determines Ea4.2 in C57BL strains. Presence of Ea4.2 influences expression of H2K.31.
