Mutation details: BAC clone RP24-158J12 carrying mouse Slc6a3 (also carrying Lpcat1 (short isoform) and Clptm1l) was modified with a mammalianized tTA-Sv40 polyA signal introduced into the translation initiation site. The transgenic insertion site is unknown, but qPCR suggests that two copies of the BAC were integrated in the genome. A residual FRT and loxP site remain in the 3' end of the modified Slc6a3 segment. Founder line 2 carries higher transgene penetrance in dopamine neurons.
