description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(TcraKB5.C20,TcrbKB5.C20)10395Arnd expresses 2 genes

Mutation detailsThe rearranged Tcra and Tcrb genes isolated from the CTL clone KB5.C20 of Bl O.BR (H-2kb) origin were isolated. After insertion of the TCR B enhancer between the rearranged VB and CB sequences, the alpha and beta TCR transgene constructs were coinjected. Ten founders were obtained, which had integrated several copies of both transgenes as judged by Southern blot analysis with alpha and beta chain-specific probes. This line, 10395, show a high percentage of thymocytes that express the clonotype. (J:28590, J:134775)

Notes
Mice carrying this transgene express a T cell receptor (TCR) specific for the mouse MHC class I molecule H-2Kb and self peptide.
