  The Terf1 locus shown mapping to Chromosome 17 by FISH data was subsequently mapped in backcross experiments to mouse Chromosome 1 (see J:48933, Zhu L, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA 1998;95:8646-8653).
• Experiment
  A personal communication from the authors indicates that mapping of the locus to Chromosome 17 band E3 has not been reproduced, and that a Chromosome 1 location has been confirmed. A further correspondence from Dr. M.
