Notes
  • Experiment
Authors tested 22 (C3H x C57BL/6)F1-Apc+/Apc1638N tumors for the presence of LOH at Apc, D18Mit35, D18Mit81 and D18Mit80 on mouse Chromosome 18. Of the 14 tumors where the Apc gene was found to be lost, 13 showed LOH at all of the Chromosome 18 markers tested and 1 did not show any loss of the markers tested. This data shows that mouse Chromosome 18 is involved in the loss of the wildtype Apc allele.
