Notes
  • Experiment
The authors localize mshi on mouse Chromosome 10. Male progeny of a BALB/cBy mshi/mshi x (BALB/cBy mshi/mshi x C57BL/6J)F1 mshi/+ backcross indicated the presence of mshi between markers D10Mit51/D10Mit212 and D10Mit170. Female progeny of the backcross were said to indicate a component of mshi between D10Mit80 and D10Mit282 as well as between D10Mit2/D10Mit16/D10Mit17 and D10Mit170. The mshi of both males and females is proposed to represent mutations in the same gene element.
