GeneAlleleAssay TypeDescription
Sts enzyme activity
Notes
  • Experiment
Crosses between XO females normal for STS activity and XY (C3H/An) males deficient for STS activity, produced female offspring that were either normal or deficient for STS, demonstrating apparent X-linkage. In other experiments, reciprocal crosses between STS normal and deficient mice yielded an apparent autosomal inheritance pattern. The mouse Sts gene must therefore be located in the pseuoautosomal region of the sex chromosomes.
