Notes
  • Experiment
Atp7a maps proximal to Pgk1 by PFGE analysis; the 5' end of each gene is said to lie towards the centromere of mouse X Chromosome, with their respective 3' ends orientated toward the telomere. The distance between the 3' end of Atp7a and the 5' end of Pgk1 is about 50kb. The authors also conclude that the 5' region of mouse Atp7a lies approximately 200kb from Xnp. The reported overall order of genes on mouse Chromosome X was: Atrx - DXHXS1608E - Atp7a - Pgk1.
