    In a (C57BL/6J-kat2J/+ x MEV/1Ty)F2 intercross, authors used Southern analysis to compare the intensity of individual viral gene fragments in the two kat<2J/kat2J pools with that of the F1 hybrid DNA. A decrease in the intensity of a fragment representing Emv26, which is located on mouse Chromosome 8, suggested linkage between Nek1 and mouse Chromosome 8.
