Notes
  • Experiment
Lung tissue of N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea treated F2 progeny of an (OcB9/Dem x O20/A)F1 intercross was microscopically analyzed for the presence and size of tumors. The progeny were genotyped by PCR. Statistical analysis indicated the presence of a locus influencing susceptibility to lung cancer (Sluc1) on mouse Chromosome 19, distal to the Pas3 region (flanked by D19Mit42 and D19Mit19). The QTL likelihood plot indicates a peak near D19Mit9. The following order of loci was reported: D19Mit42 - D19Mit61- D19Mit63 - D19Mit19 - Sluc1 - D19Mit9 - D19Mit33.
