Notes
  • Experiment
An IAP provirus was found in the 5' end of gene Thbd in BALB/cBD mice. This IAP element was identified by comparing sequenced cDNA from BALB/cBD with that published for gene Thbd (MUSTHROMBO, accession number M74231). The BALB/cBD sequence was different in the 5' region of Thbd as compared with the published sequence, and that sequence difference was 98% identical with the 3' LTR of an IAP element (accession number X04120). Southern analysis was used to show that this IAP element was also present in BALB/cByJ, C3Hf/Rl, C57L/J amd 129/J.
