Notes
  • Reference
Authors determined that Dmm is the result of a 3 nucleotide deletion in the C-propeptide domain of Col2a1, therefor Dmm is an allele at the Col2a1 locus.
  • Experiment
Authors typed 18 Col2a1Dmm homozygous mice from a (Col2a1Dmm/+ x C58/J)F2 intercross in order to determine the linkage of selected loci on mouse Chromosome 15. D15Mit48 and D15Mit172 exhibit significant linkage to Col2a1Dmm with LOD scores of 7.7 and 4.3 respectively. Additionally authors report that D15Mit42 maps approximately 1 cM distal of Col2a1 with a LOD score of 11.44.
