Notes
  • Experiment
Authors conducted a genome-wide linkage analysis on the progeny of a (C57BL/6 x DBA/2J)F1 female x C57BL/6-XYPOS interspecific backcross. Chi square values showed a deviation from the expected 1:1 ratio of C57BL/6-transmitted to DBA/2J-transmitted alleles as observed for Mit markers located in the central region of mouse Chromosome 2. These data show that the marker with the highest Chi square value (17.3) for a sex-determining gene (tda2) on mouse Chromosome 2 is D2Mit88.
