Notes
  • Experiment
All the chromosomes of progeny from a (MSM/Ms x SL/Kh)F1 x SL/Kh backcross were scanned for linkage of lymphoma susceptibility with 79 polymorphic microsatellite loci spaced 15 cM - 30 cM apart. Authors found a significant linkage disequilibrium in the proximal segment of mouse Chromosome 17, between D17Mit44 (11 cM) and D17Mit150 (33.3 cM). These data map Msmr1 between D17Mit44 and D17Mit150 on mouse Chromosome 17. The MSM/Ms-derived allele at Msmr1 is associated with dominant lymphoma resistance whereas the SL/Kh-derived allele is associated with susceptibility. Several host resistance loci map near Msmr1, such as Rfv1 (19.5 cM), Rgv1 (19.5 cM), Rmv1 (19.5 M), Rrv1 (19.5 cM), Rrsv (19.5 cM), and H2-Bf (18.85 cM).
