  • Experiment
    A loss of heterozygocity has often been found to accompany inactivation of tumor suppressor genes. To that end, authors analyzed the loss of somatic cell heterozygocity in chemically induced tumor tissue using simple sequence length polymorphism (SSLP) analysis to localize suppressor gene candidates. Frequent allelic losses were associated with markers on mouse Chromosome 11. All tumors with allelic losses on mouse Chromosome 11 lost one allele (Tsp6) at the Acrb locus which lies within 1 cM Trp53. Trp53was suggested to be the likely target gene.
