D18Umi1 and D18Umi2 were identified by partial sequencing/physical mapping of a P1 clone that spans the Tg(AMY1C)9257Mm transgene insertion site. D18Umi1 and D18Umi2 are separated by approximately 20kb of genomic DNA on mouse Chromosome 18 and are considered markers for Tg(AMY1C)9257Mm.
