Notes
  • Experiment
Congenic strain AEJ.LGG-lgGa was constructed between progenitor strains AEJ/kBc and LGG/Bc with the later strain being the contributor of the lg phenotype. Markers polymorphic between the two progenitor strains would prove valuable in mapping lg in thecongenic strain. Various SSLP markers although polymorphic were not informative within the congenic region. Nine mouse Chromosome 13 SSLP markers proved informative and enabled the authors to identify linkage of lg with markers D13Mit76 and D13Mit196. Overall order of loci in the AEJ.LGG-lgGa congenic segment was indicated as D13Mit193 - D13Mit147 - D13Mit30 - D13Mit51 - D13Mit130 - D13Mit76 - lg - D13Mit196 - D13Mit151 - D13Mit78.
