    RADP (random amplified polymorphic DNA) was used to provide additional genetic markers within the hg region of mouse Chromosome 10. Fine genetic mapping was provided within a region defined by proximal marker D10Ucd1 and distal marker Dcn. The following order of loci was determined from 403 F2 mice in an intersubspecies cross between C57BL/6J-Socs2hg/Socs2hg and CAST/Ei: D10Ucd1 - 0.3 cM - D10Mit9 - 0.4 cM - D10Ucd2 - D10Ucd3 - D10Ucd4 - 0.4 cM - D10Mit10 - 0.5 cM - D10Mit68 - 0.5 cM -D10Ucd5 - D10Ucd6 - 0.3 cM - D10Mit41 - 0.5 cM - D10Ucd7 - 0.5 cM - D10Mit119 - 2.2 cM - D10Mit120 - D10Mit142 - Dcn. From these data Igf1 and Dcn were eliminated as candidates for the Socs2hg phenotype.
