  Authors use mice carrying t-haplotypes, t^h2, t^h7, and t^1Br, to show that the t-haplotype allele Tcp1^a is separable from all of the identified t-haplotype factors except Tcd1. They also suggest that tct and tcs1 are distinct loci and that the T^Orl deletion carries a short segment of t-haplotype chromatin containing Tcp1^a, tcs1, and Tcd1. The genes tcs1 and Tcd1 are suggested to be equivalent and this has subsequently been found to be true.
