    Somatic cell hybrids were made from fusion of Gart-deficient Chinese hamster cells and mouse cells homozygous for T(2;16)28H. Hybrids grown in purine-deficient medium retain mouse chromosomes with Gart. These findings suggest that Gart maps to the distalfifth of mouse Chromosome 16.
