Notes
  • Experiment
A total of 27 hybrids were derived from fusions of Chinese hamster cells and mouse fibroblast cells carrying Searle's translocation T(X;16)16H. The presence of intact Chromosome 16, the reciprocal T(X;16)16H translocated chromosomes XT and 16T, andthe expression of Hprt was tested in indiviual hybrids. All 27 primary hybrids segregated the translocated chromosomes with Hprt. Clones were further selected against Hprt. The results indicate that Hprt segregated in accord with the XT translocation which contains the segment of the X Chromosome from the centromere to band D. Data not shown.
