    Hybridization was preformed with probe Mpg cDNA on a contig that was constructed from cosmid probes, cMD7, cMP1, cML1, and cMalpha. The results physically map the Mpg gene 49kb upstream from the [a]Hba gene on mouse Chromosome 11.
