Spi1 restriction analysis Sfpi1 genomic1, Sfpi1 probe A
Notes
  • Experiment
In this reference the authors investigated the regions within the mouse genome where the MAIDS defective virus integrates using two backcrosses (NFS/N or C58/J x M. m. musculus)F1 x M. m. musculus and (NFS/N x M. spretus)F1 x M. spretus or C58/J. They found that Dis1 is non-recombinant with Sfpi1 in 176 progeny. A comparison of the Dis1 and Sfpi1 restriction maps indicated that the Dis1 region was identical to that of Sfpi1; therefore, the authors assert that the Dsi1 region corresponds to the Sfpi1 region. The symbol Sfpi1 was chosen to represent this locus.
