  • Experiment
C57BL/6J-Socs2hg/Socs2hg male mice were crossed to CAST/EiJ mice producing F1 mice that were intercrossed producing a toal of 403 progeny tha were tested for markers on mouse Chromosome 10 for the purpose of interval mapping the Socs2 locus. The maximum likelihood position of Socs2 was at D10Mit41 (LOD = 24.8 ) in F2 females and 1.5 cM distal from D10Mit41 in F2 males (LOD = 9.56). Authors suggest that Dcn and Igf1, which are markers near D10Mit41, are not allelic with Socs2.
