Notes
  • Experiment
Physical mapping of selected YACs indicated a location for Mdsh to a region on Chromosome 11 bounded by Evi2 and Trp53. Both Evi2 and Trp53 were on YAC clones outside of a 650kb YAC that carried D11Nds1, Mov9 and D11Mit7. Based on the analysis of various YACs, the maximum distance between D11Nds1, Mov9 and D11Mit7 is less than 260kb. Using Southern blotting, the Mdsh probe hybridized to YACs that carried D11Nds1 and Mov9. The authors state that Mdsh maps to a 230kb fragment that contains Mov9 and D11Nds1. Mdsh also maps to a 550kb fragment that contains D11Nds1, Mov9 and D11Mit7. Collectively the gene order was suggested as - centromere - Trp53 - D11Mit7 - Mov9 - D11Nds1 - Mdsh - Evi2.
